Here we go again. Kid's Clothes Week is back - and I'm on fire! That is if you consider sweatpants making beeing on fire! 'Cause that's what I'll be making a lot of this week. Comfy (easy to make) sweatpants for the cold, rainy and windy Danish autumn weather. I'm not a big fan of autumn except for the beautiful colors. I'm not that fond of winter either. Summer and sun - that's me.
Back to business. So, I made these sweatpants for Albert who just turned 11. Or so I thought. I don't know why I keep on doing this. But for some reason I was sure that if I made the largest size which was a size 10 and just lengthened the legs they would fit A. My almost 160 cm tall son. Muahahaha. Let's just agree that leggings are not that cool on a tall broad (puberty) boy.
They look much cooler as baggy sweatpants on his 7 year old sister. I tried them on Bertram as well but he sort of drowned in them. Wilma and Bertram are the same height (although he's 14 months older), but he's a little twig!
Now I just have to find a great sweatpants pattern for Albert - cause he still prefers the comfy pants. He doesn't even own a pair of jeans. Only 'soft pants' and chinos. Perhaps it's easier to draft my own pattern than to keep searching for the perfect one. But please do tell me if you happen to know about the perfect cool sweatpants pattern for teens.
The pattern I used for these pants is Onion 20049
I also made the tee....a long time ago. It's a modified version of the Attaka designed by kleinformat. Love this pattern. Perhaps I'll use it again this week!
10 i bukser. Godt nok forlænget i benene - men stadig. Wilma bruger str.
Cute:-)
SvarSletTakker :-)
