An ice cream bribed Wilma in her new Tie-Dye Hi-low Dress. I've used the bodice from the Geranium pattern for this dress (lengthened) - and just added a rectangle skirt cut shorter in the front. Very simple to make. Only the bodice part is lined.

Love it with the pop of pink. Did you do the tie dye yourself?
SvarSletThanks Kristi - and nope, I didn't do it. Bought the fabric just as you see it.
SletSo, so pretty! The shape and colours are just perfect :)
SvarSletHow did you attach the lining at the waist? Or did you?
SvarSletFirst I finish the bodice - lining and all. When the bodice is done, I turn it right side out and simply just attach the slightly gathered rectangle skirt to the bodice (including the lining). I then use the seam allowance to make a casing for the elastic waistband on the wrong side of the dress by turning and stitching the allowance towards the bodice parts. Does that make sense?
SletOh Trine... I really love this one! I love how to changed up the Geranium pattern and used knit fabric. NO buttons... YAY!
SvarSletExactly - no buttons YAY! :-) Glad you like it
SletLooks great! Love the pop of color!
SvarSletThanks Olga :-)
SletWhat a great dress!! Love the use of knit for this one. Clever!
SvarSletThanks Lucinda...and soft, pullover dresses will always be amongst the favorites here :-)
SletThis is beautiful! The lining is the most perfect finishing touch. I'm definitely adding this to my to do list, an adult-sized one for me. Pinned!
SvarSletThanks Mikelina - also for noticing the lining. And I'm definetely also planning on such a dress for myself :-)
SletI love this fabric / color combo!
SvarSletThank you :-)
